Self-Determination Project

Welcome to the Self-Determination Project, first-of-its-kind, state-of-the-art classroom that comes to your neighborhood for the convenience of getting an education on your own time. Here, our teachers are always present and ready to help with anything you need. Not a student yet? Come on in and we'll help you find your route to success.

Our lime-green bus, emblazoned with the name The Self-Determination Project, is an ambassador for Five Keys, helping people choose their own path in life rather than stumbling along one strewn with gangs, drugs, and possibly, jail.

The students let us know if they’ve had a good day or bad day. They’re very transparent like that, which is why it’s very important that we at Five Keys are compassionate, patient, and understanding.

I love Five Keys because it’s given me a second chance. The teachers are like family. I wish they would have had this when my kids were growing because it would have motivated them to finish school.
— Cindy Johnson, Five Keys Student
